To be frank, subcompact cars have never really been known for being stylish, but the 2012 Accent wears its skin very well in both sedan and hatchback forms. Much of what is available is optional, including air conditioning, power windows and locks, and even the stereo. The Accent can also be outfitted with USB/iPod and auxiliary audio inputs, remote keyless entry, and Bluetooth® connectivity.

The Accent doesn’t skimp at all however when it comes to safety, with four-wheel disc antilock brakes (most other cars have rear drums) and an electronic stability system standard. Also standard are front, side-impact, and side curtain airbags, as well as active front head restraints.
