Price Range: $40,990 to $47,140
Our Price: Ask Us
The seven-passenger 2010 Acura MDX is equipped with the manufacturer’s most powerful engine to date: a 300-horsepower, 3.7-liter V-6 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode, which replaces last year’s five-speed automatic. With Acura’s standard Super Handling All-Wheel-Drive, the 2010 Acura MDX can tow up to 5,000 pounds, which is fairly impressive for a midsize crossover. EPA estimated fuel economy ratings have improved by 1 mpg across the board over the 2009 model at 16 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway.
Competing with other midsize luxury crossovers such as BMW X5 and Lexus RX 350, the Acura MDX receives refreshed styling cues both inside and out for 2010, including a new grille and steering wheel, updated taillights and tailpipes, modernized gauges and an Advance Package, which replaces last year’s Sport Package. Resting atop standard 18-inch alloy wheels or optional 19-inch alloys, the 2010 Acura MDX is standard-equipped with xenon headlights and optional auto-leveling xenon headlights.
Inside, the luxurious MDX is adorned in leather and features eight-way power heated/cooled front seats and three-zone automatic climate control. With six different cargo configurations, the spacious 2010 Acura MDX offers an above-average total cargo volume of 83.5 cubic feet with the second and third rows folded. Upgraded technologies include an optional rear DVD entertainment system, heated second-row seats, voice-recognition system with real-time traffic updates and a sport-styled steering wheel.
Acura’s “Safety Through Innovation” initiative has helped the MDX earn top ratings in government crash tests with such standard active and passive safety technologies as dual-stage front airbags, side-impact airbags for the front seats, side curtain airbags with a rollover sensor for all three rows of seats, vehicle stability assist with all-disc antilock brakes, electronic brake-force distribution and an electronic stability system with traction control. Options include a blind-spot warning system and adaptive cruise control with a collision mitigation feature, which helps reduce the chances of a collision by alerting you to potential collision situations and automatically activating the brakes if the system determines a collision is unavoidable.
Propelled by Acura’s most powerful engine yet, the revised 2010 Acura MDX midsize luxury crossover is among the best in its class in terms of cargo volume, fuel efficiency and available safety technologies.
