New Acura Vehicles Overview
Honda’s luxury brand Acura did not introduce any new models in 2009. However, with such drastic interior and exterior redesigns, the TL might as well be a brand new model. Just like other 2009 Acura sedans, the TL incorporates a Acura’s signature wide and aggressive shield-shaped grille. The TL is larger and has a more powerful engine. A 3.5-liter, 280-horsepower V-6 is a significant upgrade from the 2008 model.
Acura’s flagship sedan, the RL also receives a redesigned grille and an upgrade to a 3.7-liter, 300-horsepower V-6. A variable intake and exhaust valves on the single-overhead-cam engine are firsts. The entry-level TSX features the same pronounced, redesigned grille and newly optional real-time weather information. The TSX also receives the best fuel efficiency of the three Acura sedans with 20-21 mpg city and 28-30 mpg highway.
After a major redesign in 2007, the 2009 MDX midsize SUV remains unchanged. Its combination of safety, performance and comfort further the company’s stellar reputation.
Meanwhile, the RDX compact SUV underwent minor changes. All-wheel drive, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats and a power moonroof are all standard.
