New Chrysler Vehicles Overview
For 2009, Chrysler decided that it was time to enter the environmentally conscious world of hybrid technology. The brand-new Aspen Hybrid SUV gets 40 percent better city mileage than its gasoline counterpart. A 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 and a 300-volt battery pack power the Aspen Hybrid with ease. The gasoline-only Aspen SUV is an upscale version of Dodge’s Durango, and boasts spacious dimensions while seating up to eight passengers.
The 300 is Chrysler’s popular full-size sedan that offers two V-6 engine options and features an active transfer case and front-axle disconnect, which is meant to save fuel. Chrome accents and an upgraded UConnect entertainment system make up the significant changes to the interior. The 300C gets a next-generation Hemi V8 engine and new suspension tuning for 2009.
After going through a redesign in 2008, the Town & Country minivan provides a choice of three V-6 engines, seating versatility in the form of swiveling or collapsible seats, smart storage options, an improved braking system and kid-friendly upgrades such as live satellite television.
An all-wheel drive sedan is added to the Sebring lineup, which still offers a two-door convertible with retractable hardtop or traditional soft-top options. Buyers have their choice of a 4-cylinder or V-6 engine, and an optional navigation system.
The PT Cruiser has different trim levels and is available as a four-door wagon or convertible. With its distinct retro styling, it offers visual appeal and excellent ride comfort, as well as a versatile interior layout and good cargo capacity.
The Crossfire and Pacifica have been discontinued for 2009.
