New Chrysler Vehicles Overview
Chrysler offers three models in its 2012: the 200 and 300 sedans, and the Town & Country minivan. Each model offers some version the Pentastar V-6 engine that debuted last year and greatly improved practically the entire lineup.
The 200 debuted last year as a replacement for the Sebring and the midsize sedan (also available as a four-seat convertible with a hard- or soft-top) offers sleek styling to go with a drastically improved interior treatment. Choose between four-cylinder and V-6 power, but if it were up to us we would go with the 283-hp V-6 which brings the six-speed automatic transmission with it and gets good gas mileage considering its power.
Up next is the 300 and 300C full-size sedan which were redesigned in 2011. For 2012, a new eight-speed automatic is available for V-6 equipped models and helps to push highway mpg all the way up to 31, impressive for a sedan of this size. Rear-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is optional. This year also brings an update to the Uconnect media system as well as voice command recognition for the navigation system.
There is also a high-performance SRT8 trim that gets a 470-hp, 6.4-liter V-8.
The final car in Chrysler’s stable is the Town & Country minivan which seats seven passengers across three-rows. The Town & Country, which was redesigned last year as well, offers a good blend of premium appointments and family friendly features, topped off by second-row seats which can fold completely into the floor. It also comes with more standard features than most minivans, including leather upholstery, automatic climate control, a DVD entertainment system, and a backup camera.
